Hyphen is not a title of the film. It is a technique that I used to make it.
In language hyphen has two functions: to disconnect (words into syllables) and connect (different words to name a new phenomenon). Hyphen disappears when a child connects the syllables into words and learns to read. And when the new name of a phenomenon becomes so familiar, that nobody even notices that it is used to be two different words.
But anyway, the film is not about the words.
The film’s narrative is based on metamorphosis of light and shape that connects at first glance disconnected things. It is a reflection of the possibility to be and stay connected to one’s immediate environment.
